The only centre of the Company of Jesus in Spain which offers boarding for both male and female students, every year it welcomes students of different nationalities and cultures. This generates an atmosphere of tolerance and harmony amongst the students, as well as encouraging the exchange of varied experience and knowledge.

In the San José International Boarding School the teachers, as a prominent part of this educational community, encourage debate and critical thinking amongst students and give personal and academic support with a real vocation for teaching. San José School is a wonderful place where students can mature personally and academically in a safe, tolerant atmosphere. Its location in a rural area in the region of Extremadura, and a short distance from emblematic cities such as Mérida, Seville, Badajoz and Lisbon, gives families additional peace of mind.

Classes are mainly in Spanish; students who do not speak Spanish can attend Spanish classes and receive academic support so that they feel fully integrated in all the class activities. During their stay, there will be fluid and constant communication between the School and the families, to keep them informed about their children’s adaptation and evolution.
