Psychopedagogical Guidance

Aim:
The Guidance Department supports the work of the School and of all the teachers, educators and staff of the Center, in all those actions aimed at ensuring a comprehensive training of students and the adaptation of teaching processes to the characteristics and needs of all students and female students.
It has functions related to academic, psychopedagogical and professional guidance, with care for students with special educational needs and with support for tutorial action.
It is responsible, among other things, for:
a) Contribute to the development of the educational, psychopedagogical and professional orientation of the students, especially regarding the changes of cycle or stage, and the choice between the different academic, training and professional options.
b) Collaborate with the tutors and the rest of the teaching staff in the planning and development of academic and professional orientation and tutoring activities.
c) Propose criteria and procedures to carry out appropriate curricular adaptations for students with special educational needs and collaborate with other departments and with the teaching staff in general to adapt the teachings to the characteristics and individual needs of the students.
d) Collaborate with the teachers of the School in the prevention and detection of learning problems and in carrying out educational activities aimed at students with such problems.
e) Support in the preparation of the Academic Orientation Plan and the School’s Tutorial Action Plan.
The Guidance Department of our School has a psychologist and works under the direct report of the Head of Studies and in close collaboration with the Management Team.
It is available to the entire educational community of the College.
