The San José Villafranca School has a wide range of extracurricular activities, divided into two large groups that aim to attend to their development, on the one hand, which are developed throughout the course, and, on the other hand, complementary activities (outings and cultural contests), as well as other leisure and free time events, which are held on a one-off basis.
In the extracurricular area we seek to achieve as general objectives:
Develop personal skills: physical, mental, technical and artistic.
Complete academic training, through visits and cultural competitions.
Acquire useful hobbies of leisure and free time.
“To be men and women for others”, through volunteering.
Develop values of effort, commitment, knowing how to be and respect for the rules, people and nature.
Promote social attitudes of coexistence and solidarity.
Help improve mental balance (self-concept, self-confidence and sociability)
Favor the integration-identification-involvement of our students with their School.
In addition to all this, it is important to mention the development of COMMITMENT in these activities, with the organization of the time that it entails when planning exams and / or assignments by students combined with participation in competitions, concerts or plays theatrical.
The participation figures in each course are close to 90% and we appreciate the trust that both families and students place in the extracurricular activities.
